Susan Aldous on writing 'The Angel of Bang Kwang Prison'

Something that I find particularly rewarding about doing my book was in knowing that I was giving a voice to those who suffer unimaginable indignities. Countless people have died in prisons and through poverty, many being completely forgotten and it was great to be able to go back over some of these folk’s lives and give them a voice, be it a small, perhaps squeaky one, but one none-the-less.
