I am planning to make a month-long trip to thailand with the express purpose of writing my PhD. I was hoping to find somewhere where I could write undisturbed in the morning and swim in the afternoon. Any suggestions?

ThanksGrant Waltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00147394080702412521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946351208088541511.post-21850353985352112802011-03-08T18:38:07.282-08:002011-03-08T18:38:07.282-08:00I find the concept of a "writer's paradis...I find the concept of a "writer's paradise" somewhat strange.

There is no paradise least of all that of the writer.

At best we write when we can, wherever we can.

The lack of authenticity of the expat life is an infertile ground for literary creativiity.DesGreenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02101858584133187717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946351208088541511.post-50641493921051858492011-03-08T18:33:21.615-08:002011-03-08T18:33:21.615-08:00The writer's paradise, if such can exist, is w...The writer's paradise, if such can exist, is where the writer actually writes.

Geography takes minor place to freedom and proper state of mind.
